Whoa, it's Friday already?
I just got back from Worlds -- my first time in California -- on Monday morning. It seems a lot more recent, like 2 days ago. It was really fun. I posted 100~ pictures on Facebook. I think the coolest part about Worlds in the San Francisco area is that many footbag legends made it out, because they live in that area. I don't foresee this happening in the next couple of years, as I hear rumours of Helsinki, Montreal, and New York. There were many legends' faces that I saw for the first time, thanks to MC Irish for pointing them out in the crowd. Dimitri was one that stood out.
Anyway, I'm not meaning to do a write-up now. Maybe I will, though I'm not sure I have much to write. I played really crap on account of being sooo out of shape. My highlight was
20 spinning clippers first try both sides. I think for the time being I will stick with spinning and ducking to work back to stamina and slowly work in other components that my body has forgotten and maybe school individual components with dedicated sessions.
Yesterday was also my first F.A.T. session since 2006. Western Correspondent represent! It was grueling, but I played much better than at Worlds. I'm surprised that my body isn't COMPLETE toast at the moment. My highlight of that session was
scorpion's tail BSOS. That was really out of the blue. I just kept feeding off of my friends' combos and tricks. So, Adam Greenwood was trying scorpion's tails. It was just Adam, myself, and Josh Lackey, whom I'm very stoked to see back in the game! They were pushing my game a lot. Another highlight was ending the session on a decent 30-some contact run. Mostly spinning. Adam and Josh ended on similarly lengthy runs. I think our next session is next week, though it costs me $13 return trip just to go out to downtown Toronto.. which is rough on the pocket.
I'll think about doing a write-up. I would like to.
Until next time..
