I've been trying to play lately. An hour here and an hour there. It's taking a lot to get back where I was. Holy. Like 20 contacts of anything is good right now. A couple shuffle contacts is good. A single big move is good. It's rough.
But I did randomly foot two cool flipside moves lately. Just now I footed flip whirr on second try. It hurt my knee a bit so I didn't try again, but...wow. I didn't think I'd ever be anywhere close to that @____@ I've hit regular once.. it was half a year ago in Montreal -- that was also pretty random. Also I footed flip blurry rev whirling swirl on second try a couple days ago. Cool. That one shouldn't be very tough.
I stayed up all night last night making my Erik Chan DVD from scatch. I'm so excited. Though I think I had a nightmare while I slept today that the quality was terrible. Haha. I think my DVD-burner is broked :( So tomorrow I think I'm gonna go buy another and get this done. Yeah!!!
A couple videos too. A video that Ken made, immitating my style a while back.. like maybe a couple years already? We had this great plan at Worlds '08 for him to wear my braces and my clothes and do this better, but it seems like everyone saw through it pretty fast anyway. I didn't see another real opportunity to do this better in the near future, so decided to post it. Actually we were gonna do this at Worlds '07 too I think? Also at NYJ '09. Fail, fail, fail:
And the latest video from my original favourite player and ultimate idol in footbag, who hasn't really played in... many a moon. James "Defender of the Universe" Risden, laying it down:
