I had a super fun session yesterday. I'm putting on some chub, so that means... time to play more footbag :p Back seems to be doing acceptably. I'm totally going for a Bevier-esque style. Today's Christmas Calendar vid by BrianBear is pretty cool and inspiring.
Some fun stuff I worked on yesterday: -double calf bumping. -hopovers (THAT IS ONE FUN TRICK!!!!) -- still yet to hit flip hopover swirl (BEST TRICK EVER???) -inside-kick-set spinning and ducking -knee bumping -calf-bump-knee-bumping
Well, when I was playing it felt a lot more creative than my little list here looks. I did some combos like stepping sameside inside stall > hopover > far swirl. Calf bumping ducking clip > spin clip [repeat]. Double calf bumping rev whirl? I dunno. Stuff. It's a blast. I'd never done flip hopovers before, so that feels suuuuper fulfilling. Also, I played with Eclipses a bit. I find them hard to control.
I played in a little space with absolutely no freedom of movement, so hopefully if I can play today (knee hurts a bit, but feeling bad about the developing gut :( ) I'll have more room to do more spinning stuff. I wanna go back to lots of spinning and ducking like from when I played like this:
