I had a fun solo session today on UStream. I had some awesome viewers, like Ken, Lise, Reid Strellner, and my best friend who doesn't really know footbag. I didn't really do too much. I meant for it to be a practice session, but that's really hard when there are people watching. They gave me lots of requests, though, and that was super fun. They weren't very tough and I didn't hit most of them. Haha.
My far swirls are really coming along, and that feels wicked. I have always been incompetent at swirls. Like I can't even regular swirl. But I did far swirl BSOS a few times. Infinity swirl > handcatch to other side, first tries. Same with far rev swirl. Also same with rev whirling swirl. I think also same with rev swirl > far swirl both sides. And last session with Manna I footed far swirl > rev swirl both sides. Awesome feeling. I did quite a few double downs. For me. Also torques and eggbeaters, which is what I meant to practice anyway. My knees are a bit sore, so I should lay off bigger tricks and double downs next time. And the swirls. I meant to not do those this time actually.
What else? I dunno. Tomorrow is my last day on the job, so that's a little sad, since I love it there so much and they love me. But I kinda look forward to working on the children's book I'm illustrating on Monday all day. I also bought a wireless network printer/scanner today for that, so hopefully lots of drawings to come. I'm gonna start a blog just for that.
K, that's all for now. I look forward to Saturday shred. Tune in on UStream for our live webcam session -- Manna and me. Later!
EDIT: Also, here is the trailer for the video I should be getting soon-ish, from France:
