SHRED SESSION: 20081129:
I played with Manna today. Andrew came too, but injured himself on a warm-up run, on a grifter. It was pretty sad, and he just stretched a bit and then left, like, half an hour in :/ Poor Andrew. Hopefully he will be out again next week.

It was an interesting session for me. Somewhere between neat and awesome. Prolly closer to neat. I had crap runs again, but had more neat big trick-ish highlights. I decided to try double downs to see how they would affect my knees. And bam, they were oooon. Awesome! Probably the best I've ever played with double downs. I'm gonna own them soon. So some highlights:

-stepping mirage > paradon > blur > paradon [repeat] (dropped on the last trick though)
-barfly > blurriest BSOS (dropped on perhaps my first attempt at spanishfly ever... super gimpy!)
-fog > dimwalk > haze > dimwalk > fog (was doing some fogs real well and thought, "Hey, maybe I could do that drill!" And I totally can! I think that was first try.)
-haze > pixie clipper > haze > pixie rev whirl
-haze BSOS mid-shuffle, and also a bedwetter?
-bedwetter > ducking symp mirage BSOS
-twirl > spinning clipper [repeat] (first try again, but on video)
-double spinning clipper > "PS" rev whirl [both sides] (also BSOSed DSC for the first time in a while. I never do them because my weak side is quite weak and so I don't do god side, and so I don't do them at all. Haha. Weak was really on today though, so expect more of that.)
-blurry rev whirl > fog BSOS (and also a haze in the same run?)
And also some neat combo runs where I did stuff that isn't usual for me that I got big props for. I can't remember at all, but all of this is on video and will be in the Christmas Calendar hopefully.

I think I broke two toenails. Ouchy. The same nail on either foot.
I also decided to try a MOTW combo, since we haven't had one in a while (though we got one on film last week -- just haven't had time to upload it). I tried mobius > rev tomahawk > rev tomahawk > mobius, and footed the last mobius on first try! That was cool. Torques is definitely my weak point. It is by far the hardest for me to learn. Also swirl tricks (including rev swirl). Though I AM catching onto torques more or less. Manna mentioned after the session that I did an "average amount", which for me is quite a bit. I did some pdx torques... I dunno.

On some other notes, Manna and I have started a tradition of playing Rock Band after sessions. This was the second time. It's pretty fun. Would be more fun with more Hackrificers! Maybe this can be a selling point for Derek to come out :p Umm, and today I bought my ticket to Chicago for New Years Jam, which is possibly the first tournament that I have ever gone to where there wasn't anyone else from Winnipeg? Oh no, wait, CSS4 also. Second. Wow.

Anyway, a fun day!
I'm about to go play some Star Wars: Force Unleashed, which I haven't played yet, and I'm quite excited! I also just acquired the newest version of Premiere, so that should be wicked and prevent glitches (particularly in sound) in future videos (I HOPE!!) K, signing off.
